Biochemical Impact Inflicted by Aphid Induced Urdbean Leaf Crinkle Disease (ULCD) Infection on Different Blackgram Genotypes

Aims: To investigate the variations in total protein content and anti-oxidative enzymes blackgram genotypes showing various levels of resistance against aphid-mediated Urdbean leaf crinkle disease (ULCD).
 Study Design: Completely Randomized Design.
 Place Duration Study: The studies were carried out at Insectary belonging to Department Agricultural Entomology Centre Innovation College Research Institute, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India January 2021.
 Methodology: research was conducted on seven exhibiting different ULCD. A pot culture study established test plants subjected for inoculation urdbean virus (ULCV) via feeding by 10 viruliferous Aphis craccivora adults/plant. alterations content, superdioxide mutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) peroxidase (PO) activity estimated using spectrophotometric methods comparison healthy 0, 15 30 days after (DAI).
 Results: No discernible increase seen either ULCV inoculated or un-inoculated day inoculation.
